Five Years Later

At this Moment Five Years Ago, “The E82 Project” was begun with the lofty goal of revitalizing the original experiences, aesthetics & ideals of EPCOT Center in the hope that utilizing the philosophy of “Influence through Inspiration” it would be possible to bring forth the “Dawn of a New Era” for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.

Since that day, The Epcot Legacy has been in a constant state of becoming with (what I hope are) insightful historical essays, dynamic philosophical dissertations, immersive listening experiences, and completely new artistic interpretations of classic EPCOT Center concepts. And yet, the journey is just beginning with many new and exciting things taking flight this year and the years to come! In many ways, "we've still just begun to dream! Therefore, it is only fitting that we begin the fifth year the way we started the project with the iconic sunrise over Spaceship Earth.

The Dawn of the Non-Digital Age

In exactly two months from now, E82 — The Epcot Legacy will celebrate its 5th Anniversary, and begin a new section of the site that will cross the digital frontier from your screen and into your home with the “Re-Opening” of Epcot’s Centorium… Online! Below we begin, appropriately enough, with a (re-)re-interpretation of the Image that started it all…

The 4th Dimension

Coming in the near future, the E82 universe will expand beyond the realms of static art, musical compilation, historical dissertation and philosophic analysis to include animated simulations, and a host of other projects expressed in the forth dimension (time).

In order to properly showcase this new form of expression, "E82 Films" had to have its own motion picture-style logo and here are the results…

Logo Description:

Beginning at the outermost edge of the universe, we journey through the spiraling heart of the "Epcot Galaxy" passing the park's original set of nine pavilion logos all coalescing together to explode outwards becoming the Progress City Supernova on the edge of which orbits majestic Spaceship Earth.

SSE Hues - Heliotropic

Debuting shortly before EPCOT Center’s 10th Anniversary, this lighting scheme of Pink & Purple with highlights of golden amber has become the signature color scheme of the geosphere during the past two decades.

You’ll also notice this is the first edition of the SSE Hues series to feature all four background formats, made possible by a new “Lighting Rig” that should be much easier to control and manipulate during for “Hues” yet to come!
